This weekend my wife and I are taking a short “mini-break” or vacation to San Diego to celebrate both of our birthdays. These photos were taken walking along the waterfront piers on Saturday afternoon. There was a Carnival cruise ship in port this day, and the area was filled with excited cruise-goers heading to the ship. As well, the waterfront is lined with beautiful, but whimsical art sculptures like the squid shown here.
