I’m only just getting to finish sorting through the photos I took this past Saturday at Lake Del Valle. Here are three more scenic shots I took on my hike around the lake. The first shot is a HDR composite of three images, the others are regular photographs. I used HDR on the first photo to capture the detail in shadow on the tree branch that would have otherwise been lost.

I captured these scenes while out hiking at Lake Del Valle in Livermore, California on Saturday. Another beautiful California park! It was a hot day for hiking, around 90 degrees but the trails were level and easy so it was actually quite enjoyable. I believe the hike took about 4 hours total, though a considerable portion of that time was spent looking through the camera lens! icon smile Lake Del Valle
